Is this trip absolutely necessary right now, or can it wait?
Have I taken any medications that might impair my driving?
Can someone else drive instead, or could I take public transport?
Can I take a short nap before driving? If I can, I need to make sure I give myself at least an hour to wake up properly afterwards.
Can I avoid driving at night or early in the morning?
Can I schedule a break during my drive?
Am I displaying any symptoms of fatigue (e.g., yawning, heavy eyes)?
Do I feel irritable or easily overwhelmed?
Am I underestimating how tired I really am?
Would I let someone else drive if they felt the way I do right now?
How long is my drive going to be, and am I going to be able to stay alert for the whole drive?
